STORY BEHIND THE DISH:
My grandmother would make these for get togethers at her house and also for Eastern Star Receptions. I would help her make them and loved to be the official taster to ensure they were good and had enough seasoning. However, once you taste one, you have to keep tasting, and "Grananannie" would have to tell me to stop or we would not have enough for everyone else. These make a great appetizer for a party; they're awesome!
| INGREDIENTS: | |
| 1 lb pork sausage, room temperature | 3 cups Bisquick or biscuit mix |
| 2 cups cheese, grated | |
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 deg F. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until evenly mixed. Grease a cookie sheet w/ Pam to avoid sticking. Roll into balls and place on the cookie sheet. Shape the balls into the size of a large pecan. It makes a bunch! Bake for 15 - 20 min in oven.
