Coconut Raw Shell Pie

STORY BEHIND THE DISH:

My mother made this often. Recipes did not come with instructions since the pies were baked in stoves that used wood for the heat source.


INGREDIENTS:
3 egg yolks 3/4 cup milk
2 Tbl flour 1 cup coconut
1 cup sugar unbaked pie shell, 8" or 9"

DIRECTIONS:

Beat egg yolks. Mix flour and sugar, and add to eggs. Beat. Add milk and coconut. Pour into an 8 or 9 inch unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 deg F until set.
